Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival.
Arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel. O/N at Kathmandu.
Day 02: Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu.
After breakfast and begin sightseeing. Visit: Pashupatinath temple, Bouddha Nath Stupa and Patan Durbar Square and many more. O/N at Kathmandu.
Day 03: Kathmandu - Syafru Besi - Kerung.150 kms - 9 hours
the road follows the Trisuli River, passing through green mountains and cliffs following Trisuli, dhunche, Syafru Besi all the way to Kerung. We will stay overnight at Kerung
Day 04: Free day for acclimatization.
Acclimatization in Kerung . O/N at Guest house.
Day 05: Drive Nyalam - Dongba (4500 m). 350 kms - 6 hours.
Today, we drive for an approximately 325 km to reach Dongba (4500 m.).The road climbs up to the Thong-La Pass (5120 m.), La Lung (5050m) and then passing through Lake Peikutso, and continue to Saga. We passes through the gigantic valleys following the various rivers through the eye-catching view of grazing lands of yaks and sheep and Himalayan goat. The landscape is highlighted by snow capped peaks rising out of the distant and dunesfollowing the way we finally reach to our todays destination Dongba. Overnight at Guest house.
Day 06: Drive Dongba - Lake Mansarovar (4560 m). 370 kms - 6 hours.
Today we will continue our journey to Mansarovar. It is around 6 hours drive. The holiest Lake mansarovar is the source of four great holy rivers Ganges, Brahmaputra, Sutlej and Indus River. It is said that Lord Vishnu floated in it for an eternity, dreaming, until the life force stirred, and out of the water's infinite potential sprang forth all of creation. O/N at Guest house.
Day 07: Drive Lake Mansarovar - Darchen (4663 m). 35 kms - 1hour.
Today we offers a wonderful opportunity to see the great lake Manasarover with mt. Gurula Mandhata (7728m) on south and Holy Kailash on the north. After holy bath drive to Darchen, The base camp of Mt.Kailash via Chiu monastery and hot spring.
Day 08: Drive Darchen - Yama Dwar - Parikrama (trek) - Deraphuk Gompa (4920 m).18 kms - 5 hours walk.
After breakfast, drive 45 minutes to Tarboche (Yama Dwar). We passes through numerous chortens as well as the sky burial site of the 84 Mahasiddas.This is a parikrama starting point and from here you can see the closest view of Mt. Kailash. Then trekking about 56 hours to reach Deraphuk (4880 m). O/N at Guest house.
Day 09: Parikrama (trek) Deraphuk - Zuthulphuk (476s0 m) – 22 kms - 9hours.
Today is the hardest but holiest day of the pilgrimage. We will cross through a rocky expanse dotted with stone cairns draped with the clothes offered by pilgrims as a spiritual sign of death. Gaurikunda is one of the holiest sites to view/ visit from the top. Further hiking brings us to the accent up to Dolma -La pass (5630m). After a nice break at the top of the pass we will head down the steep trail to our eventual campsite at Zutul-Puk Monastery (the cave of miracles where Milarepa meditated). O/N at Guest house
Day 10: Parikrama (trek) end (11 kms) - Drive Mansarovar (Hor Que).
After a short trek, we will reach near Darchen from where we will be picked up to transfer Mansarovar (Hor Que side) around 40 kms drive approximately 1 an hours. O/N at local Guesthouse
Day 11: Drive Mansarovar - Saga (4200 m).
This day we will have our breakfast and drive continues from Mansarovar to Saga. It is around 231 kms and will take around 6 hours. Upon reacing Saga Free and relax. O/N at local Guest house
Day 12: Drive Saga - Kerung.
We return through the same route. The same procedure as earlier will be followed for meals and accommodation. Drive to Kerung stay in a Guest house. O/N at local Guesthouse
Day 13: Drive Kerung - Kathmandu.
Following the same way be drived back to Kathmandu. Transfer to Hotel. Free and relax in the evening. O/N at Kathmandu.
Day 14: Departure.
